MAIN INTERFACE WALKTHROUGH- by Aaron Wymer A_resi13

#1- BUY RUBIES- Here is where you can click to buy rubies for Real Money. Also if you scroll down a number of offers can be found such as downloads, videos to watch and surveys. I personally keep away from them as i was attacked by viruses and my computer slowed down alot due to the running of background programmes. But if you think it was worth the risk, then go for it.

#2- CHARACTER PROFILE- Here is where your 'RANK TITLE' is shown (e.g LICTOR). This changes along with your 'LEVEL'.Your 'CHARACTER NAME' (e.g Pbody) is who you are known as within the game. It is important too choose wisely in the beginning as your name can only be changed by a Pseudonym Grant (90 rubies in the shop [#1]). Your 'LEVEL', shown underneath, is determined by the amount of power you have...(I shall post this table will be posted on SPIRIT academy's 'STATISTICS' sub forum soon.) Last and most importantly is 'POWER'. Your power is determined by many factors: Troop numbers, Buildings (and their levels), and Quests. Your power can be increased by Upgrading buildings, completing quests and building troops. However it can also decrease if troops are lost in battle. so try and keep the amount of power gained through buildings and quests EVEN with the amount of power in your army to prevent a devastating loss of power.

#3- CITY NAME/PROTECTION- This is chosen when you first start playing, and is seen by other players when they are scrolling over buildings on the map. Your city name can be changed by using a 'RENAME PROCLAMATION' (Available through the Daily Fortuna Draw or can be brought from the SHOP [#1] for 10 Rubies). PROTECTION is a period of time at the start of a new realm of 7 days which prevents you from attacking and people from attacking you. Its main aim is to allow you to build your city up before you are open to attack so you can get a foothold in the game.

#4- GENERAL STATISTICS- Firstly it shows the amount of GOLD you have (e.g 13,442). In the beginning this seems useless as you are mainly upgrading resources and houses which do not require gold to build. However for future upgrades (buildings), research (in the science center [#14]), and troop training (garrison [#15]) gold is a major requirement. The amount of Gold can be raised by upgrading your houses and raising your taxes, (50% is the highest yield until you have a theater [#9]). Later in the game gold can also be acquired from attacking OTHER PLAYERS and ANTHROPUS CAMPS... and can be used in TRADING.

To the right of your gold amount, you will see another figure (e.g 1,009). This is the amount of gold you are making (or loosing) an hour. Obviously if its in minus figures you are loosing gold and therefore you want to raise your gold by building/upgrading your houses [#17], and raising ur tax to 50% (with no Theater [#9]).

To the right again, you will see a pair of scales and a percentage (e.g 25%). This is what your taxes are currently set at and can be changed by clicking on your fortress [#11]. 50% gives the highest yield, however as a theater [#9] is upgraded it allows you to increase the taxes by an extra 2% each level whilst not effecting the happiness {see below}. So building a theater level 1 allows taxes to be at 52% without effecting happiness, level 2 theater 54% and so on. If you hover over the gold amount all this info will appear on 1 'mini-screen'.

Down to the left you have your POPULATION info. The figure next to the picture of a person (4196), represents your OVERALL population. This figure can be increased by building houses [#17]. The figure to the right of it is your IDLE population [6946]. The difference is that IDLE population, is the number of people not doing anything, whereas OVERALL population is the sum of both the idle population and the population that have jobs. If you hover over the OVERALL POPULATION, a 'mini-screen' will appear telling you where those workers are. IDLE POPULATION is a requirement when building troops (e.g Longbow man require 2 idle population each), and therefore you need a high idle population when you start thinking about training your army.

Finally in the bottom right corner and next to the heart is another percentage (72%). This is your happiness and its important you keep above 50% to allow a high yield of GOLD. Happiness can be increased by lowering taxes, and decreased by raising taxes.

#5- QUEST/MESSAGES TABS- Your QUEST TAB (picture to come) shows targets to reach in order to gain a reward.

(eg. Upgrade Walls [#21] to level 2. Reward: 2000 metal 3000 food 2000lumber and 10000 stone).
These are very important at the beginning as the resources allow you to upgrade buildings/resources quickly. If you have completed a Quest a little number will appear on the tab, saying the number you have to claim rewards from. To claim a reward simply complete a quest, enter the Quest tab, click on the ticked quest, scroll down and click on claim reward. Some Quests will also reward you with ITEMS [#25] and power. ITEMS include : Resource nano's and Dragon hearts and 'speed ups' but these will be explained later on. [#25]

#6- RESOURCE TABS- Here is where the four resources are shown: Food, Lumber, Ore and Stone. The left figure represents the amount of that resource you have whilst the right shows you your hourly income. This too can go into minus figures and can be either difficult to get out of or expensive. Resources can be collected in your FIELD [#26], From Mills, Lumberyards, Mines and Quarries. these will be explained later on [#26]. Your resources start with at 100 'units' per hour. If you hover your cursor over the resource tab, it will show you your max capacity. This is the maximum amount you can hold before production stops. This can be increased through upgrading your STORAGE VAULT [#19].

#7- OFFENSIVE TABS- These are basically 3 quick ways of accessing the buildings to do with your army. The helmet takes you to your OFFICERS QUARTERS [#15]. The Flag takes you directly to your garrisons [#22] and when scrolled over, shows the numbers of each troop you have. Finally the Dragon symbol takes you to your DRAGONS KEEP [#12].

#8- FACTORY- The Factory becomes useful when you want to increase your Weapons Calibration (explained later [#14]), when you want to train better Troops (Armoured Transports, Giants and Fire Mirrors [#22]), and allow the uprades of the walls [21]. When you open the factory, you will see the requirements necessary on the right. If you meet the requirements a green tick will show, if not it will be represented by a red cross and you will need to work to achieve those requirements. To upgrade the Factory, open it up and on the right under the picture, it says upgrade. If you meet the requirements and have space in your BUILD QUEUE [#16] click and it shall start upgrading.

#9- THEATRE- The Theater allows for increased taxes. As it is upgraded it allows an increase to taxes of 2% (e.g once built it allows for 52%, level 2 = 54%, level 3 = 56 % etc) It is primarily for increasing Gold Production. As you open the theateryou see the necessary requirements to build it on the right (ticked means you have the requirements necessary red crosses mean you fail to meet the necessary requirement. To upgrade the Theater, open it up and on the right under the picture, it says upgrade. If you meet the requirements and have space in your BUILD QUEUE [#16] click and it shall start upgrading.

#10- METALSMITH- As you increase the metalsmith you are enabling yourself to train another level of METALLURGY [#14]. This is important as Metallurgy is a requirement for training some of the more advanced Troops in the game (e.g Battle Dragons). A one level upgrade of the Metalsmith allows 1 level upgrade of metallurgy. To upgrade the Metalsmith, open it up and on the right under the picture, it says upgrade. If you meet the requirements and have space in your BUILD QUEUE [#16] click and it shall start upgrading.

#11- FORTRESS- The Fortress allows you to do three things: Build equal level houses, Occupy an equal amount of Wildernesses and allow three extra resource sites in your Field. More houses allows for a greater Idle population, which then allows more troops to be trained. An increased amount of wilderness spaces means a higher bonus to your resource income (to be explained in another walkthrough). And the three added resource sites for each level allow for increased power and resources, so the fortress is quite important throughout the game. To upgrade the Fortress, open it up and on the right under the picture, it says upgrade. If you meet the requirements and have space in your BUILD QUEUE [#16] click and it shall start upgrading. The fortress also allows you to change your taxes. You can do this by clicking upon the input box and typing the number you decide is best. To get the highest yield set your taxes at 50% and add 2% for every level of your theater. Underneath all of this there is a chart showing you clearly how your resources are coming in and out, including, the use of Resource Nano's [#25], and wilderness increase.

#12- DRAGONS KEEP- The dragons keep is a building that new and inexperienced players like to upgrade first to get their dragon however your dragon develops over time and can only fight when it has reached level 10, has all 4 pieces of Armour and has at least aerial combat level 1. Therefore in the beggining it is not worth using your resources on upgrading it and should be considered once you are more stable.Your dragon has a health bar both, within the keep and along with the progress bar [#15]. This keeps track of your dragons health which can fall when attacked. The dragon icon on the progress bars [#15] will count down the time it takes for your dragon to heal from damage.

#13- ROOKERY- This is important as it ables you to train your dragons (Battle Dragons, Swift Strike Dragons faster, and allows you to research Dragonry [#14]. The interface is the same as before with your requirements on the right (green tick = have requirement/red cross = needs to be achieved), under the picture is the Upgrade and Disintegrate buttons.

#14- SCIENCE CENTER- This is without doubt one of the most important buildings in the game as it allows you to RESEARCH. Research enables you to do all sorts of things such as meeting requirements for troops to giving you percentage increases to your troops health. The interface is the same except for the research button at the bottom and this is where you choose what to research. More detail on each Research available to you below:

AGRICULTURE- Upgrades FOOD production by 10% upon each upgrade. It is a good idea to get this up quickly within your protection period [#3]. On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

WOODCRAFT- Upgrades LUMBER by 10% upon each upgrade. It is a good idea to get this up quickly within your protection period [#3]. On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

MASONRY- Upgrades STONE production by 10% upon each upgrade. It is a good idea to get this up quickly within your protection period [#3]. On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

ALLOYS- Upgrades ORE production by 10% upon each upgrade. It is a good idea to get this up quickly within your protection period [#3]. On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

CLAIRVOYANCE- When upgraded this allows spies to give more detailed spy reports. (Troop types, number of troops, research levels etc). On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

WEAPONS CALIBRATION- This is important as it is a requirement for ranged troop types and also adds +5% to the range distance of these troops making them more effective. (At level 3 Weapons Calibration you can train LONGBOW MEN, Level 10 you can build FIRE MIRRORS). On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

METALLURGY- This too is another important one as it allows you to train HALBERDSMAN (level 3), MINOTAURS (level 3) and FIRE MIRRORS (level 10). Also each upgrade increases your troops attack and defence by +5% making it very imortant if you are building an army. On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

MEDICINE- Each upgrade in Medicine increases your troops health by +5% making a high assets a good asset to have on the battlefield. On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

DRAGONRY- Each upgrade in Dragonry increases your dragons (Battle Dragons and Swift Strike Dragons) movement speed by +5%. To be able to train Dragonry you need to increase the level of your ROOKERY [#13] 1 level of your rookery corresponds to 1 level of Dragonry you can research.
On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

LEVITATION- Levitation is very important and it is recommended that if you are able to upgrade it and your RESEARCH QUEUE [#16] is empty, that you do. It shortens the time taken to build/upgrade your buildings by 10% (level 1 levitation = 10% reduced build time, level 2 levitation = 20% reduced build time etc). On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

MERCHANTILISM- Merchantilism is very important as it allows you to buy resources from other players through the TRADE tab [#24]. A level 1 upgrade allows access to Trade, and upgrades after increase the number of trades that can take place at 1 time (e.g level 1 = 1 trade, leve2 = 2 trades at the same time, level 8 = 8 trades at the same time)On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

AERIAL COMBAT- not important at all in the beggining. Once your dragons keep is level 8 and you have collected all your Dragons Armour, you will be able to start research enabling your dragon to fight alongside your normal troops. However the Dragon never becomes truly effective until the later levels of Aerial combat. On the right it shows the requirements needed for the upgrade, unmet requirements are shown in red and the upgrade button is not available to you until all requirements are met. The time it will take to research is noted underneath the picture also.

#15- OFFICERS QUARTERS- This is an important place in regards to your troops/army. To be able to attack you need a GENERAL to lead your troops into battle. To appoint generals, go to the officer quarters interface and click on appoint generals. Generals are represented by your Facebook friends, but no informatiion or notices are sent to them unless you send it yourself. Generals have a ranking system 0 through to 5, 0 is at the very start where they have not attacked yet and 5 is a general that has led many battles. the higher rank you have the better as they also provide an increase to the strength to the troops. The interface is the same as before with your requirements on the right (green tick = have requirement/red cross = needs to be achieved), under the picture is the Upgrade and Disintegrate buttons. However there are two extra buttons on the bottom, one to appoint new generals and one to view your current generals.
